A design was drawn for a proposed two storey hipped roof side extension. Plans were then submitted for planning consent and building control approval. Single Storey Extension
Our Client had a modern detached house with patio area to the rear. The family were outgrowing the existing house and more space was needed A design was drawn for a proposed single storey rear extension. Plans were then submitted for planning consent and building control approval. Once approved the building work was then carried out and included:- Single storey extension 8.6 metres wide by 3.0 metres deep
- Open plan kitchen/dining room with sitting area on ground floor
- Feature sloping ceiling incorporating Velux roof windows
- French doors leading to a new natural sandstone patio area
- New deluxe kitchen and utility incorporating granite worktops

Garden Room
Our Client had a modern detached house with patio area to the rear. The existing house and garden were not being used to their full potential. A design was drawn for a proposed single storey garden room extension. Plans were then submitted for planning consent and building control approval. Once approved the building work was then carried out and included:- Single storey extension 3.2 metres wide by 3.75 metres long
- Garden room on ground floor open plan to existing dining room
- Feature arched window incorporating radiator cover / window sill
- French doors leading to a new natural sandstone patio area
- Laminate flooring throughout the extension, dining room & hallway
Conversion of a workshop into a Cinema
Our Client had a two storey building in his garden that was used as a workshop/storage. The existing building was not being used to its full potential so options were considered. A design was drawn for a proposed extension and alterations to create a cinema room. Plans were then submitted for planning consent and building control approval. Once approved the building work was then carried out and included:- Two storey extension 5.05 metres wide by 7.1 metres long
- First floor open plan purpose built cinema / entertainment room
- Games room / Therapy room and shower room on ground floor
- Feature arched glazing incorporating french doors to both floors
- Alterations and extension of existing paved patio area
An Observatory
Our Client had a detached house with existing flat roof extension. The existing house had an open aspect and clear views to the rear. A design was drawn for a proposed pitched roof to incorporate a dome. Plans were then submitted for planning consent and building control approval. Once approved the building work was then carried out and included:- The walls were extended to create gabled support for steelwork
- Altering the flat roof to form a pitched roof from the front elevation
- The rear roof slope had to incorporate a recess for the dome
- Installation of a rotating and retractable observatory dome
- New rendering and paintwork to new walls and existing house
- Telescope installed to create a perfect observatory from home
